Company History

Fakenham Frozen Foods was formed in July 1983 by Mr and Mrs Balls with the help of their younger son, Adrian. They started trading from a small industrial unit in Fakenham and soon found there was a demand for the 'personal touch' that national companies could not offer.

In 1985 after outgrowing their original site a move to larger premises in the Drift, Fakenham took place. Over the next 12 years the business grew steadily with the purchase of a further 4 delivery vehicles and the staff expanding to an extra 4 full-time and 3 part-time in addition to their elder son, Christopher, becoming a fourth partner and taking over the sales side of the business.

During the 12 years at the Drift the business had grown with more staff and vehicles plus 5 cold stores, 3 of which had to be placed outside due to lack of space. They now realised they would once again have to move to larger premises if the rate of growth was to be allowed to continue.

In April 1997 they purchased a large industrial unit on the George Edwards Industrial Estate in Fakenham which has the capacity to hold between 300 - 400 pallets of frozen food and now has 5 full-time and 5 part-time staff plus a fleet of 8 refrigerated delivery vehicles.

They firmly believe that the strength of the business and the rate of growth must be attributed to the emphasis put on customer service backed by a comprehensive range of quality frozen foods at competitive prices.
